VETPARTNERS held its first Clinical Board roadshow – and it proved a great success.
The event was an opportunity for some of our Clinical Board team to meet colleagues, including those we recently welcomed to the VetPartners Ireland family following our latest expansion.
Dr Rachel Dean, who chairs the VetPartners Clinical Board, led the event to share ways we support practice teams to develop each other and the care they deliver.
Rachel was joined by Caroline Scobie, pictured right, clinical director at Westway Vets who chairs our Small Animal Clinical Board, and farm vet Emily Collins-Wingate, centre, from Westpoint Farm Vets in Winchester, who is on the Production Animal Clinical Board.
The roadshow was also a chance for practice teams to meet each other, and start to form communities of people with similar clinical interests.
It was the first roadshow since the pandemic and it attracted a big turnout on Wednesday evening, including new colleagues from practices that have just joined the VetPartners family.
Rachel said: “It was lovely to be back on the road and to meet our teams in Ireland face-to-face, and find out more about their practices and how we can help them.
“Sharing ideas and experiences creates great bonds between people, and it is great to show practice teams that there is a wider network and interesting projects with which they can get involved.
“They are able to see the benefits of being part of a larger veterinary group and we want them to feel welcome getting involved in our clinical communities and sharing ideas. While all practices are unique, we have an awful lot in common and working together makes us stronger.”
Rachel added: “We also had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs, so it very much had a VetPartners family feel to the occasion.”
The next Clinical Board Roadshow will be in Scotland on June 14th and 15th, before an event in Wales on July 5th. There are also events planned for the South West and the North West this year.
